Well, my reason to put ED on hold was my daughter breastfeeding.
Finally in Feb 2010 (at 18mths old) she weaned. I have contacted a few other places (locally) about ED and have been told I am not a candidate due to my PCOS.
I appreciate the other agency I was talking to last year but I do not want to travel.
So .....
I'm moving on to GS (gestational surrogate)!!!
I'm very excited about this.
I'm in the very very beginning stages. Doing my research and trying to pick an agency.
My next step is to wean off my anxiety meds (Wellbutrin & Zoloft). I need to speak to my doctor to find out how long this process will take and if it's a good idea.
But with any luck I will be matched with some IP's (intended parents) in 2011! I will be starting a new blog about this journey .... stay tuned!

Nothing new
Nothing new going on right now.
I was really hoping my daughter would wean herself from breastfeeding since she cut her nursing down to twice a day. But it looks like she just isn't ready yet.
She will be 15mth old on Nov 10th....if she does not wean herself by 18mths I will do it myself.
Until then, my donation journey is on hold.

Let the journey begin!
For the past 2-3 years I've had egg donation on my mind.
The idea of helping someone have a family who is struggling with fertility issues makes me happy.
I went through 3yrs of wondering weather or not I would be able to have more children and it was frightening, sad, stressful and I just lost myself.
In early 2009 I made the decision to go for it! I contacted my Reproducive Endoctrinologist (who helped me get pregnant with my 2nd child, which also resulted in my 3rd child a year after that). I began the paperwork but was told I was ineligable at that time due to the fact I was still breastfeeding.
My youngest child was about 4 or 5mths old at the time so I put donating on the backburner until I was done nursing.
Now my youngest is 13mths old, she si still breastfeeding but we are weaning. I'm hoping in the next 2-3mths we will be done and I can start!
We moved to Oklahoma in July 2009. In August I contacted the International Assisted Reproduction Center via the internet.
Low and behold they got back to me pretty quickly but the email went to my spam box. About a month later I looked in my box and saw the email.
I quicly responded and got another reply the next day.
I had my first telephone interview with a nice rep from the company named Lindsay, on September 24, 2009. After about 15-20min of answering questions and then asking some, I was told I was a good candidate and my paperwork was being sent via email.
I received it later that day.
I will begin filling out my paperwork sometime this week. I am very excited to start this process and will be tracking my journey the entire way!
